Cons: Requires agreeing on contribution amounts, which can get complicated. More accounts to manage.

Deciding on Contribution Amounts

Rules for Money Disagreements

  1. No financial discussions after 9pm or when either person is hungry, tired, or already upset
  2. Focus on the goal (what are we both trying to achieve?) rather than the tactic (I want to spend this money, you don't)
  3. Use "I feel" statements, not accusations ("I feel anxious when we don't have savings" not "you spend too much")
